Can I still remove the eggs?

My veiled chameleon has recently laid eggs it has been 3 days since laid can I still remove them?
Do you have a bioactive setup? If not, you'll want to remove them otherwise they will start to rot and smell and possible contaminate the soil.

I assume they are not fertile? If they are, definitely remove them to incubate, if that's your goal.

When you want/need to incubate the eggs you should dig them up soon after they are laid. Hopefully they will still be good if you intend to incubate them.

Are you going to incubate them?

Here's how...

We do intend to incubate. Shined the light on the eggs visible and they are orange!! We have to get supplies. This was an unexpected lay. I know we could be in danger the longer we wait. We intend to remove today. Just have to find vermiculite or perlite. Everywhere we have gone is weirdly out of it.
Thanks for the info, Will watch this for guidance.

Just curious…how many eggs did she lay?
Forgot to post last night. She blessed us with what looks like 27 fertile eggs!! We laid Sol’a to rest near the tree pictured. She will get plenty of sun there. 💔🌎🦎

Question, as my new, wild before I received her, chameleon just laid eggs yesterday that look a lot like the ones in your photo. Have the eggs survived so far?

Just checked on them, currently 19 days from completed lay and ALL of them are looking great! I would expect if they were not fertile that they would have started to decay by now. They are actually growing some! We actually received information that our little Sol'a was in an enclosure with another male prior to us picking her up, as they thought she was a young male.

We really have a Charlottes Web scenario here. She was super tired and sadly didn't survive past ensuring her eggs were secure. Super proud to be caring for her potential offspring. <3

Side note: Eggs are fertile for sure, we saw some wiggles today while checking the weights etc!! Only time we have done it so far, but we shined a flashlight across the top fo the eggs as we have them in a clear bin. It's pretty cool to catch movement. They are in a dark cubby where the temp is sitting at a solid 78* with about 50% humidity. I don't expect to have all of them make it to term, but we could be lucky!!
