Hello, i am new to this forum
i am still in limbo about whether to keep pygmy chameleons, what food i can feed will decide this.

There is no way i can feed them roaches or crickets on a regular basis :(
so i can i feed any of the following as there regular food sorce:
  • tropical grey woodlice
  • dwarf tropical white woodlice
  • whiteworm
  • tropical springtails
i can feed the odd cricket or baby mealworm, every two weeks or so but not often.

so can i?:confused::):D

You can hatch silkworms and hornworms from eggs, and grow them to the appropriate size. Silk eggs are good because you can keep them in the refrigerator, and hatch as needed. Horn Worm eggs must be hatched when you get them, but you can slow their growth by putting them in the refrigerator, 1 day in, 2 days out. 250 silk eggs is $10, shipping them is a bit expensive, they need to be overnighted with ice, about $40. Great Lakes Hornworms sells the Horn Worm eggs, shipping is $15 or so.

Bean beetles would be the cheapest and easiest Pygmy feeder, a culture is $10. If you want a care sheet email me at [email protected].

The feeders you list are pretty small, and not as easy to get robust cultures going.

You can get housefly pupae from Siderpharm.com as well.

Good luck, Pygmies are fun to raise!

CHEERS!
