Can I Feed Them Cut Up Raw Salmon?

What exactly are you feeding? The insects or the chameleon directly?

I wonder if chameleons would have any problems digesting any bits in a fish. I recall a past thread mentioning a chameleon eating fish that was offered, but don't remember if they posted a follow-up.

IMO It would be more nutritious than a pinky! I will wait for some responses though, as for now the tegu is getting most of it, and loves it.

Would your chameleon just go for it as is? I can't get my chameleons to eat much of anything that doesn't move.

Neat! I wish my chameleons would do that. I had one that used to almost get there but stopped after so long.

Just called von's grocery here. They have it in... Anyone want to buy a chameleon to contribute to my salmon fund?

I think a small amount wouldnt likely do any harm. Not sure if it would do any good either. Certainly not a "natural" diet. You could give it to one of them and see what happens.

Walnuts are a source of Omega 3 that can be easily given to feeders, if that was the reason for offering the salmon.

I wonder if the salmon would change the taste of the feeders and turn the cham off? Fish does have a lot of fairly volatile oil and strong taste.

I would say NO! Simply due to the fact that a lot of wild fish tend to carry worms. Although most are dead some are not. We as humans eat raw fish and occasionally worms and are able to digest it fine your pet may not be able to. This is why some people get sick off sushi from time to time.
