Can Chameleons Get Hiccups?

Hi!

I've noticed since my girl was a baby, she does this weird little whole body jerk/shake kinda thing. It looks like if I were to get the hiccups and one was so strong it kinda just makes you jerk. It's not a too often occurence (maybe every couple of months, and she does it twice then is back to normal) but she literally wobbles on the branch when that happens. Is this just a typical hiccup thing?

Thanks :)

Im no expert but to me this seems like a hiss. Whenever a chameleon is threatened they will jerk their entire body and open their mouth really wide, this is just their way of letting you know to leave them alone.

She doesn't open her mouth as well as when she does it she always is trying to get out so she can climb in my hair. I've never seen her hiss other than when the vet forced her to get x-rays.
