Can a vet obtain fecals during visit?

Can a vet obtain a fecal during the actual visit or is this done by collection prior to?

I have more than one cham and am thinking of taking the gang in at the same time but don't see them all deciding to give up their fecals at once

NOT to be a smartass but have you verbally trained your chams to poop on command cause if not then i would guess that he would have to manually insert a probe into your cham and physically remove a sample, although i dont think that may be possible.

ACTUALLY, let me clarify.. my mindset was more along the lines of a 'fresh catch', and obtaining 'freshens on all three at once.

But as long as they can probe at the vets office, then I shall let them do the honors.

If there's one lined up, ready to go, they should be able to swab a sample. If not, you're gonna need a freshy. Most vets will let you drop it off, as convenient for you, if timing doesn't work out around the appointment. Remember, they need to be fresh and can't be frozen.
