Okay I just got a Canon Rebel XT. This thing is stomping my butt. It does have a disc and perhaps I should make use of it.. Im used to a point and shoot with image stabilization so now Im getting dark and blurry pics!! Anyways, thats not my concern.. I am on the prowl for a Macro/Fisheye lens (I always want to add an E to this word!) and Im wondering, whats the dif? I see some on ebay for 29.99 and then some for over $600! And how do I know what my thread count it? Some say only compatible with 55 thread or 68 thread..I do not need anything fancy and I doubt people want fisheye pics of their pets..Its more so just for me to have fun with and expand my experience.. Thanks!

you want to know what are the differences between a macro and a fisheye lense? or i misunderstand something?

Basicly the price of the lenses depend on the focal length at the telescope lenses and the "brilliance" (F 4-5.6 or someting F 2 etc...) more brilliant (1.6, 2) is the more expensive. It is the same for wide angle objectives. And there isa basic difference between fix and zoom objectives too. Fix are always gives better quality pictures, but sometimes a zoom is more practical, for example if u dont wana be a wildlife photographer, just taking pics of the pets/family/travel etc...

No NO..i want to know 1)how to tell what thread my lens is and 2) is there a difference betweent he 29.99 and the 599.99 lenses? How can you tell quality?Ebay, I mean..Sometimes you find a deal and sometimes you get jipped..
