Calvin's shower time

We gave Calvin her first shower this evenin....she seemed to be abit shocked at first n was clamberin over the plant quite quickly but the she seemed to find a spot she liked and the hung upside down there wiv her eyes shut chillin!!

When I had her on my hand after, she seemed to lick it a few times....wondered if this was normal or meant she was happy or anythin...?!

thats how they drink, by licking. probally tried to get her some water shes very cute!

Did you aim the shower head right at her? If so that is probably why she wasn't happy and wouldn't settle to start with. Usually to shower a chameleon the water gets bounced off the wall first so there is more of a mist rather than a violent shower which they don't like! They don't all like showers either - My Tommy LOVED it and would jsut sit there drinking away with his eyes screwed up tight! Amy, on the other hand, absolutely HATES the shower! She will just sit and give me the 'stink eye' the whole time. I can see that she isn't comfortable with it so I don't bother showering her any more. She drinks from a pipette most evenings just before lights out, and she will drink a lot when she wants to. She won't ever drink when I mist her though - she also has a dripper that I never see her use!

Monty, my new baby Jackson loves his drinky time - every time I mist he'll rush over to a leaf and start drinking, it's so cute to see!
