Just a friendly thread for oustie owners. Post pics of your cage, cham, or discuss them. Rex my big boy is still growing at 350gs.

I don't have one - but yours is very handsome- I've always liked the smaller chameleons- but I've heard that Oustalets are mellow - Is it true ? How about his personality - my Jackson is so different from my Panther- How big is his cage- does he get to free range ? How does his care differ from other chameleons that you have had or have ?

Thanks. And yeah ive always liked bigger chams. He is one of the mellowist chams i know of. He is awesome, ive raised him since a month and a half. He goes to sleep on my bed every night, i handle him everyday and let him roam my bed for an hour or so. he flares up sometimes when i reach in but then when i hold my hand out he calms down. He lives in a 175 gal reptarium. Ive only cared for senegals, veileds, ousties, and jacksons. He is probly the easiest to care for.

I wish I had the room for one - maybe when I get my Chameleon room done- Your not the first person I've heard who says they are easier and mellow- I heard there is wild population in Florida - I wish you got more bites on your thread - I'd love to learn more about them -

Yeah. Rex is actually a captive born baby from a wc female from florida on a study on breeding habits of oustalets. I had the mom for awhile and gave her away to a friend who still has her.

Harry survived being petted by about 2 dozen trick or treaters. He just hanged out on my arm and the kids got a candy and the brave ones got to pet him. Ive been doing this since 1997 so im getting some 2nd generation trick or treaters...

Its the lizard house, its the lizard house. It was real.

Next year the frilled lizard should be full grown, on a leash on my arm.

Thats awesome, Rex is a chick magnent i tell you. ;)

Welp ive seen my first lime green Oustalets, my life is now complete.
Mine wont get black/white head spots unless hes royally pissed.

Harry is still hanging out at about 330 grams. I only grow runts, reguardless of species. I bet id get a 10 year old 4ft iguana if i raised one from egg.

The photo of Frankie & Sami is beautiful. It should be an entry into the photo contest. This thread has given me a new appreciation for oustalets. :)
