Calcium

I was at the reptile store the other day and i was looking for calcium without D3 and the guy told me that I need to give Camille (My veiled chameleon) the with D3 every meal. But then I read things saying i need to give her the D3 only 1-2 a month. So im just a little confused and want to keep her as healthy as possible. And i do have her multi and do that about once a week

The person at the reptile store is wrong. Calcium without D3 at every feeding. Calcium with D3 2x a month. Reptivite (or the like) 2x a month. This seems to be the most widely accepted regime to experienced keepers. I personally use Repashy calcium with LoD at most feelings and make sure to have a varied and nutritious gut load for my feeders.

D3 from supplements can build up in the chameleon's system and lead to health issues. This is why we try to limit how much we give them from supplements.

Exposure to UVB light allows the chameleon to produce the D3 it needs to use the calcium in its system and won't build up in the system as long as the chameleon can move in and out of the UVB at will.
