Calcium coming out of nose!

I've read on here that if you supplement your cham too much it can come out of their nose and crystalize. Well...i think this is happening to my veiled chameleon, it looks like he has been snorting cocaine, I am a little worried, so i skipped dusting the crickets for about 4 days now and it's still coming out of his nose. What can i do for him??

It might not be calcium....it might be salts of other minerals.

Rachelk,

Trying increasing the amount of water you offering him. This can be one of the first signs that he isn't getting enough water.

I'm with Vince, give him a few extra waterings. You already went off dusting for a few days, which is good. Make sure you are only lightly dusting the feeders. Just get the litle cricket feets dusty! Any recent pics?

Thanks! I will try extra waterings, also how many times a month should i dust with the multi vitamin?

For my veileds, I dust at most feedings with a phos.-free calcium powder to help make up for the often poor ratio of calcium to phos. in many of the feeder insects.

I also dust twice a month with a vitamin powder containing a beta carotene source of vitamin A and twice a month with a phos.-free calcium/D3 powder. I water them well and I have never had a veiled produce snalt.
