doing a bit of research on expanding my chams diet and came accross calci worms which ive not heard of before

are these any good for chams and if so in what quantity. i have a year old male veiled.

yes and yes.
though an adult male may not eat them as they are small.

they are also known as pheonix worms.

his casque is a little bit droopy. i only got him 2 days ago and i suspect the guy hasnt given him the best diet he said he fed him only crickets and didnt dust with any suppliments. he's otherwise strong and healthy just a bit of a droopy head crest.

i'll take some later on. im pretty sure its the early stages of MBD he doesnt look poorly in the least other than his droopy casque. im trying to locate a local vet to get him checked out to be on the safe side and his diet will be much improved with the right suppliments. hopefully he'll make a good recovery.

calci-worms, pheonix worms, bsfl, all the same thing (hermetia illucens).

not to be negative, but your problem is way beyond the fixing with calci-worms stage. any cham with a drooping casque has very serious metabolic issues and needs a vet right away. i wouldnt delay, an extra day or 2 often means the difference between recoverable and irreversible. jmo.

does this animal have uvb? i would start by getting it some natural (not shined through glass) daylight immediately.
