Calci worms need fed?

Do calci worms need fed? I've read just to moisten the mix then arrived in.

Also...

I lost around 20 red runner roaches overnight. They'd access to food and water. I keep them at room temperature without light.

Calciworms = Black Soldier Fly Larvae. They don't need to be fed. You can feed them fruits if you want, but that makes them stinky and when they get wet they're also excellent climbers.

That's a lot of loose roaches. ?
