Right now they (the ladies) are in 18x18x36. Well foilaged with a monsoon on top. Life appears to be good. But alot of people like the 24x24x48, Im under the impression that the bigger cages should be reserved for the males and also have a 4'x2' for breeding,
Any holes, Or is this ship sea worthy? lol
-thanks:cool:

its up to you.

technically males need the 2x2x4, and females can do smaller cages, but alot of us do the bigger is always better thing.

Hey now... I thought size didn't matter to females.

Now we hear the truth! sorry couldn't resist.

It's preference, really. I keep my panther female in a 4x2x2 cage because I think she appreciates the space, and she roams a lot more than my male. But I only have room for 36" x 18" for any additional animals, so the daughter I plan on keeping from her clutch will be in one of those. Perhaps by the time next summer rolls around and she is close to a year old I may upgrade her, depending on my space limitations. I always believe bigger is better when it comes to cages, and my carpet chameleons (which are smaller still!) are also in 4x2x2 cages.

Olimpia, you keep your carpet babies in a 4x2x2??? thats crazy, how do you ever find them!?

So it really doesnt matter then? the 18x18x36 should be good untill they are around 1y/o?
And to the other comment of course the females will take the a bigger cage, they always go for the bigger cage

I think a female could live in the 36 x 18 or a 36 x 24 her whole life. But if you can afford and have the space for a bigger cage (and want to provide it) you definitely can size them up.

I think Im going to get the 18x 36 for the ladies and the 24x48 for the males,
reverse nature lol usually the women are the ones to get spoiled

It's not the size of the enclouser its the foliage arrangment ;)

Right now I have the fake vines and flora arangements that I bought at Hobbie Lobby ( dont worry, I cleaned them very good ) that were $5 and are 10ft long, so one is suspended in a criss cross patteren around the cage, looks pretty sweet and the chams love it!

Bought about 15 wooden dowels differnt sizes and a hot glue gun to make into a frame box / jungle gym for them, havent had the time to assemble them though, cleaning two cages a day and working 50+ hours a week leaves me with very little time during the week.
