cage temp at night

Hi all I got a ambilobe panther cham 5 months the temp of his cage is usually 80-85 when the lights are on during the day, at night it dont drop he seems ok in his sleep at first I had a 150 watt emitter at nite and omg I had to take it out I was told by a reptile store to do it but now nothing at night im in california so its kinda hot right now my livingroom gets warm er when I run my big t.v is were bambam is he has a large cage 48x24x24 will he be ok?usually winter it gets cold in my apt.wish I had a big enough place to give him his own bedroom like some others.lol

If you are turning off the lights at night, the temp would have to drop some. The basking light will heat the cage up or it should anyways.,
