cage screening building help

hi,
could anyone help me on how to put screen into a frame and not have any sharp pokey piece sticking out? this may not seem like rocket science, but im having a hard time getting it done... maybe there is a tool for it besides the spine roller?

I usually use a sharp new blade on a utility knife to clip any excess screen. if there's any stubborn little wires that wont cut, il use scissors or nail-clipper, but you can also push them into the spline with a flat screwdriver..

i just made sure I sandwiched the screen with two pieces of wood.
