Cage positioning

Just thinking about where i may put my cage. It will be in my living room, but im wondering what the effects would be close to a radiator? Would it help or hinder?
Thoughts please xx

You can best find a quiet spot where there's no chance of draft, so not in the path of a door or windows that are opened frequently.

If you put it in front of a window or radiator you need to be mindful that it could cause overheating so, switch the radiator off/low and make sure the window has blinds/curtain or can be shielded otherwise if it catches a lot of sun.

In front of a window is the best idea, gives your cham fresh air and sunshine. Just make sure there's a shaded spot in the cage for the little one to hide out of the heat if necessary and make sure the humidity stays up. Bruce loves his window and goes right to the others when he goes free roaming. There's no curtains or blinds in nature, and that's what you're trying to replicate as best as possible.

In your glass enclosure I don't think that in front of a window is a good idea. The sun will heat it up way to hot. The natural sunlight will be filtered through the glass window and tank glass. UVB will not pass through the glass.

I feel you are better to place it in a not too busy area in your home, somewhere that you can control the environment of the enclosure. Away from heaters or air conditioners. Low traffic area.

Hope this helps.

Hmmmm the enclosure only has a glass front. Rest is mesh. Would you still say the same?
For UV it stays the same.

In the end you are the one that has to figure out if it's ok.
Put the cage where you want it and make sure temperatures are ok before you put a cham in there.

In front of a window can be done but in summer you can have heat coming trough the window in summer and cold in the winter, depending on where you live of course.
It doesn't have to be a problem but it's something to keep in mind.

The temp inside is what's important. Use your thermometer to measure it in different areas of your cage, like the top, middle and bottom, with the heat lights on, and off.
