hey guys, i have this 24x24x36 all screen cage i bought off amazon. First problem is that my chameleon keeps trying to climb on the screen, but ends up falling sometimes. Is that bad if they fall like that? She can climb everything else just fine, but most of the attempts at the screen she ends up falling. Also for tempeture, do you need the hole top part 90 degrees in general or just the basking area? I get tempetures 90 under the basking and like 78 degrees on the upper sides of the cage.

If you have some spare money, you could try a reptarium. Not as visually pleasing, but they're cheaper for the size and should be easier to climb.

Falling from anything is a sign of somthing wrong.
Maybe once in a blue moon is ok, but if you catch her falling repeatadly, somthing is askew, and their is a reason for it.
(even if its as simple as her claws not fitting into the screen well)

Does she have plenty of other things to climb?
Could you post a picture of the setup?

If you place a bunch of plants in there to kinda take up some space and block a lot of the screen chances are she'll spend less time on the screen and more time in the plants. Also make sure you have plenty of horizontal climbing opportunites for her. The more things she has to climb on the more likely she'll stay off of the screen; however, she may never completely stop climbing on the screen. A 90 degree basking spot is fine and with all the plants she'll have plenty of cover to get to if she gets too hot.

They can still yes.
Generally they do it if looking for a mate, or an exit to the cage, or to thermoregulate when they need to be somewhere in the cage and cant get to it otherwise.
