Cage idea

Would I be able to buy a bunch of mesh, curl it into a large cylender going from my floor to my ceiling and use it as a large cage? It just irritates me using something someone else made, like the cage I bought from LLLreptile for chameleons, I like making my own stuff. Any other cool ideas are welcome.

If you think you could incorporate the lighting, your cham could not escape, it would be sturdy enough for vines and branches, etc. then why not?!?

Heres a thread I did sometime ago on cage building and supplies.
Your idea could work but your gonna want to use aluminum screen and not the fiberglass type. Also, probably have some kind of wood or metal "stake" or other support for when the Cham. climbs on the mesh so his/her weight doesnt bring down the "cage"

Ya, I just dislike the ordinary, I'm into.. abstract I think the word is. I'm thinking maybe cone shaped almost, except not a point on the bottom more of a flat bottom to balance it. I could put some supports, etc. So... like this.

Im just like you with building everything and I had an idea like this once but the way I figured it why not just take half that cylinder and mount it floor to ceiling against the wall... That way you could just mount the lights on the wall and use the walls natural support from the house to hold everything up

Ya I've had that idea too but wouldn't the mister soak alot of water into my wall?

Try at the same time mounting a layer of PVC tarp against the wall to block the water...

you could try using FRP panels to cover your wall as well
