thinking wht to use for bottom of cage its gonna b on legs so has to hold wight of plants but shudnt b too heavy really ?

You should have a durable bottom but put a pvc sheet on top of it for easy clean up.

My cages sit on stands made from two by fours (legs and frame for the top) and plywood (top). These stands are very sturdy, but not all that heavy or difficult to move.

My cage bottom is screen.
Its screen on top of an elephant rack and i have no problems and drainage is awesome. I have a shower curtain under the whole thing that catches everything and has a little collecting bucket under the center. it might not look as nice as some but who am i to mess with something that works well over something thats pretty.
