Hi, when can we expect export quotas from the current CITES? You know what's crazy, the meeting is in some Dubai / Vegas looking convention hotel center in Quatar. How much fossil fuel do you think was used to get all the "environmentalists" there? They could have easily just used phones and stayed at home.

WHAT

CITES is a meeting where governments around the world decide how many animals can be taken from the wild and/or brought to other countries. It stands for Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. The members determine how many chameleons can get to us from the wild. These numbers often determine (as far as I am concerned) how much a breeder can charge for a chameleon. I, for example, breed chameleons that are worth cr#p because Tanzania can export over 3,000 of them every year (apparently the generic number for appendix II species) which is A TON OF FREAKING CHAMELEONS and a big problem in my opinion. But I love the cheap little nuggets anyway (see avatar picture).
