Where can I get a small cage for a good price? I have been a snake owner for awhile now and I find Chameleons very interesting and have been wanting one. Im looking to buy a baby veiled. Can babies go into tubs instead of cages? They do hold moisture alot better right?

Welcome to the forums. If you are new to chameleons I would not recommend a baby. Look for one at least 3 or 4 months old. Chameleons are more difficult to keep than snakes. You would need a cage and lllreptile usually has some good prices if you are in the US.
See them here: http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/reptile-supplies/reptile-cages-glass-and-screen/

Also this blog will give you some great info for keeping chameleons.

No tub, just not the right enclosure

tubs tend to be way to shallow and dont allow for any ventilation. Your gonna want something taller, well ventilated. Humidity is crucial but too much himidity can be dangerous. You wont have to much trouble getting good advise on the forum. I am new to the forum but not to the hobby and i found alot of very helpful people on here. Good luck to you!! Any other questions just ask

You can always get an adult sized screen cage and create a subdivision for the little guy. But, being new to chams, getting an older juvenile would be better.

READ, READ, Read about it first, a lot goes into creating a habitat for a cham, especially a baby, way more work than a snake. I get most of my stuff off Craigslist or recycler. Cages, misters, chameleons, They will have it, if you are in a good location. Good luck! I love my monster veiled:)

I just got my first juvie veiled. It is like having a kid, but it is 100% worth it. I got so scared today when I couldn't find Stella in her cage but she was hiding in the plant. :) Goodluck and do all the proper research beforehand.
