Buying a New Chameleon

The only thing that's keeping me from totally breaking down about my diseased Franky, is the thought of buying a new chameleon.
I purchased my first chameleon 2 months ago, from a store, the owner said she got it from a breeder she trust- but it turns out that the baby senegal cham I bought was wild caught, because it has Foleyella (incurable parasite/worms) that will eventially kill him.
So, I don't know the best way to buy a new one, or what kind I should get. I was thinking of getting a panther this time.
There is a reptile & exotic animal show coming to Raleigh in May- should I buy one there???? here is the link to the show...

so sorry

sorry to hear , i really fancy gettin a senegal myself as my 1st cham but readin so much about them dying that its puttin me off gettin one, hope you get a new cham soon , good luck.

I'm sorry about your guy! :( I would recommend getting a Cham from the sponsors here in the forum. I can recommend getting a veiled as they are among the hardiest with proper care a male panther would also be nice now that you know the basics. The show might be a good place to get a Cham that way you can ask questions to the staff about anything you want and you can see the quality of the chams. Good luck!:D

Sorry to hear about your young one. I think any of the sponsors of this forum would be a good bet. I can personally vouch for Screamelons. They are very friendly and anyone I have talked to who has dealt with them has nothing but high praise for them as well. Good luck with your sick cham and with finding a new friend as well.
