Buying a cham online?

I've been looking around at local pet shops for a panther.
Of course, there are none.
I don't have any local breeders that I know of. I live in Illinois.
So I've been looking online.
What is a good price for a young panther?
And is it actually okay to order them online?

Ordering online is the way to go if you cant find a local breeder. A non fancy one will run $250-300 plus shipping. Check the site sponsors or the classified section here.

As horrible it is to outside eyes, and tree huggers, They are next day am aired, come in a sealed box lined with foam, in a cloth bag, with a had warmer this time of year. They go into a kinda suspended animation and are around 50-60 degrees in the box. Then just open them up, pop them in the cage, and then feed in about 3-4 hours if they will eat. They are going to be dehydrated when they come out of the bag so make sure you have the cage sprayed down and the dripper going, or what ever you use. I had one that just wanted to drink while getting soaked to the bone with a warm spray bottle for 5 min.

I'm not an expert on Jackson's, but I have seen a ton of health posts from you lately, and all I can say is, Don't you think that before going and buying another chameleon, you make your current cham healthy? The money you would be spending on another cham, could go to making your newest cham better (ie, a trip to a vet). I can;t tell you what to do, but that is just what I would do..

Don't worry,
I definitely plan on getting him better before I buy another chameleon.
It looks like I'm going to be taking him to a vet here very soon.

I'm in Illinois as well (right outside of StL), and I had a chameleon shipped from Florida... even after he 'went missing' with UPS for a day, he still made it through just fine.
