Bursting with eggs!

I have a gravid female that looks like she will be laying any minute. I have never seen these many eggs stuffed into a female. Anyone care to make a guess? Her last clutch was 36.

This is probably the last time I mate her at least for a year.

Woah!! That is a big girl! :p. If her last clutch was 36 I would have to say by the looks of her, around 50 maybe, could be more. I have had a few girls that looked identical to yours and they have laid 70+ on multiple occasions. I have found that each time my females are mated (Veiled chams more so than panthers) the clutch size gets bigger and bigger. You should have a good start to your summer with that clutch.:D

Woah! She looks huge, bless her!! Lily laid 103 eggs on the 23rd and she didn't look anywhere near as big as that!! Do they lay bigger eggs if they are fertile?

WOW look at that marble sack! ahaha shes gona have a wack of them! have you ever tried dieting and lower temps to lower the amount of eggs made ???

yep...I keep their ambient temps at abut 72 and basking temps 82-85. Can't regulate the heat that comes in through the window, but I check my thermometers and turn off their basking lights when the temp gets to 90. As for food they get 3-4 crickets a day with no food on Sunday. An occasional super is their treat unless I have a glut of big ones, then it is 2 supers and 1 or 2 crickets.

I don't know if it is a lot, but she is 22 g. more now then the day she was mated.

Does she need help???

Last 2 days she has been up and down in her bin, doing a little scratching around, then back up in the branches. Today she started to dig in earnest, but after digging a nice indentation in the sand, curled up in the hole and has been laying in it for about 3+ hours not moving. I haven't seen this before. Can anyone offer suggestions or ideas???? Should I be doing something?

Congratulations!!!!! We had eggs today too from one of Lizbeth's females that we are babysitting. I was a nervous wreck all day! I kept worrying that the hole would collapse on her or something.

I know....me too. It took her all day and up to 8:00 pm to finish. She finally fell asleep in the sand, but I was keeping my eye on her. I gently moved her up into the branches where she woke up and tried to lick a leaf so I misted her for awhile. I could tell she was thankful for the drink, and then she fell asleep.

How long is your daughter going to be on vacation? Seems like it's a nice long one. I'm going to KC on the 9th thru the 14th.
