Burn?

Not sure whether I am being paranoid or not here but a second opinion would be appreciated on this.

I have just noticed that my Yemen has a dark patch on his head and I am paranoid that this is a burn. He recently shed in this area and I have only just noticed this.

What do you guys think? If it is a burn, does it look like heat or excessive UV burn?

Thanks.

Basking bulb - no

Reptisun tube - yes but it's on the other side of the screen.

It does look like some Veileds have a dark patch in that area of their head however my guys seems darker.

If you are talking abotu the dark patch betwen his eyes, I dont thin its a burn,
I think its just his coloring.
SOme chams can get very dark on their heads, I dont think a vet visit is needed right this second.
I dont see any eroding skin, no blisters, the skin looks fine,
So my opinion is that it is simply coloring.
he just has a black head, thats all.

There are several peoples chams on here that have very dark heads like that.

Thanks. I was hoping for a reply like this.

The skin does look completely in tact when you examine closely so perhaps this is just colouring as you say.

I will be keeping my eye on it anyway.

It would be helpful if anyone can post some pics of their Veileds with their dark marks on their heads just so i can compare.

So today I took mine with the same black spot today to the vet and she said that it was nothing to worry about, its just how a lot of veileds are. Something with their pigments colors, I'm not sure. But the good news is that its not a burn! I can definitely chill out now :).
