Burn or scrape?

Does anyone know what this is on my panther chameleon? Looks like a burn but idk how he could get burnt there. The hottest temp he can reach at is 83.4 right now and goes from 80 to 85 depending on the day.

Yeah weird place for a burn.. He can’t touch the bulb right? I would take him to a vet just be sure its not some bacteria or something. Be sure to go for a good reptile vet because I got literally scammed by a bad one..

Has he shed recently? They will rub their faces against branches and things as shedding is an itchy process. Do you feed superworms, hornworms or crickets? All can bite. If a cricket escaped into his enclosure, it could bite him. A vet visit would be prudent to make sure there’s no underlying problem or infection.
