Disinfect the whole cage,then place in the outdoor hot sunlight preferably 11am to 2pm,and repeat,thats my suggestion to u.

Let soak 15 minutes then let dry

Yes, if Sam indeed had an infection. I kinda don't think he did cause he was on antibiotics, for something else, right? Idk, ask Alphakenc, he knows a lot about antibiotics. But, clean everything, run water over your plants if they are live. I have done both: used an old cage and used a old plant. I always use living pants, they hold humidity and they are good for the ambiance of the cage.. But I always redecorate

If Sam really had an infection, yes, a new cham can get sick, but I dont think he did cause he was already on antibiotics when the eye deal occurred. Alphakenc knows way more about antibiotics than I do. Just take everything out, clean everything and remodel. I have done both before; used an old cage and an old plant. I use live plants so I took my plant out in the yard and washed it down w a hose. That gets the dirt really muddy, so try not to make it worse, pour off the excess and leave the plant outside for a little while to dry/drain.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! Since four o'clock i have had all my artificial vines, plants, etc. in hot water all in my bath tub I then added liquid dish soap and have left it sitting since. I just drained the tub 5 hours later to add more soap as well as more hot water. As far as the screen cage, i just sprayed it outside with the hose. Tomorrow, i will lay everything outside in the sun to burn off any other things. How does that sound?
