Bulge

Well it could just mean he is well endowed! :D If it is abnormally large then there could be a medical problem.

Most of the time, a bulge means it's a boy. ;) If it's large, as Carol pointed out there could also be a medical issue.

Does your chameleon have a new bulge, or did you just get a chameleon? If you could post pics, that would help!

I was assuming she knew what the bulge itself was as far as it being a boy lol:):):)

First pic definitely appears somewhat peculiar. Does anyone else think he might need to get looked at by a vet?

Twig, add the other pic that you posted earlier of just his tail end for others to see here on this thread.

In the first picture where he is in has cage it does look pretty big or swollen or something. How old is he?

If the bulge is equal size on both sides of the base of tail, it may just mean he has xlarge hemipenes, sizes very ;)

Check for discharge, discoloration or pain when applying pressure to rule out dried semen plugs and possible infection (yellow discharge).

Nice long warm water bath works wonders for working out those dried
semen plugs.
Soak, gentle massage, work fingers around the area until the semen plug
pops out of the vent, then just gently pull it all the way out.

It's just a guy thing ;)

An infection needs treatment (obviously)

Just looks like you have a 'well hung' male to me

What do his poops look like?

Do you see semen plugs with it?

If me takes forever to poop, or it's runny, he may be in pain.

Thing about chams is, it's very hard to tell if they are in pain or not!!

If you can gently press on the area with your finger w/o him going into a fit, then I would think he is okay ?!

He poops fine and they look normal.. Just a little wet but not runny and I pressed a bit and he didn't really move... He moved a bit but I think that was because I was touching him because he isn't really use to me yet.. I've only had him for a month
