Hi, does anyone know if the zoo med repti sun and basking bulbs work for a 220v socket?

The bulb receives electricity from the ballast. The ballast receives electricity from the outlet. Beyond that, is inconsequential here...

The ballast will need to be made to receive that kind of power, and output the right amount for the bulb.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

i'm sorry, i meant the fluorescent hood fixture sold by lllreptile. does it support 220V or is it for 110V?

Well, they seem to have a lot to choose from.

I have never seen fluorescent lighting made for/hooked up to 220 though. ;/

Im sure its technically possible, but seems like a hugely inefficient use of power. ;/

Will you HAVE to use 220 in this application?

Ya the place where i stay only has 220. Heard from my dad that i have to buy a transformer to use the 110.. Do you know of any online website
That sells fluorescent hood that comes with 220v?
