building question

I used aluminum screen window mesh from Lowes. It works great and is heat resistant. also, I used tacks to pin it on the wood . Good luck!

Yes, Lowes and Home Depot carry it. The aluminum screen comes in different size rolls with different lengths.

I took the species I'm keeping to mind when selecting my mesh. Veiled, Panther, Aluminum screen. Melleri, large 1/4 inch hole plastic/pvc hardware cloth. With their weight and size of their feet and respective nails, they would mess up some screen, and possibly loose a nail or two in the process....Of course this cage is not bug proof, but I bucket feed so...eh.

i have all panthers, and i just wanna up grade for some of my females. would the aluminum be good for them?

Yes it is Jessica, but usually screen climbing isn't an issue provided the cage is large enough and has sufficient cover with ample climbing structures. The problem with the hardware cloth..like what I've already said, bugs can escape through it. For the few times a cham may climb a screen in a proper enclosure, the aluminum screen is the way to go.

Yeah, the only reason I used it for my Melleri enclosure is I built it prior to knowing much about the 2 individuals, and Melleri are a species that are notorious for screen climbing. Knowing the 2 as I do now, I would opt for reg screen. My kitty is constantly chasing down crickets and super worms. Like I mentioned I do cup/bin feed, but these guys are pigs and often grab more than they meant to and end up drooping some of the insects.

I use pet screen. It is very tough so no wild animals can get at my chams when they are outside.
