Building enclosure

In my dad's box of extra wood I found some decently sized pieces. I have a top and bottom square for a new cage (basically the design of a picture frame but thicker), what is a good way to hold it up? I don't know if the thickness of the wood I have would keep it very stabled. It's about an inch and a half thick.

Here is what I've built so far. Would it be okay to put chicken wire in it, then since my cham is small enough to fit through that another smaller mesh, since the chicken wire is stronger and holds shape better? I'm going to put a door on hinges with a hook to hold it closed, a bottom of course and a drainage hole.

If you want the cage to be more stable, i'd put some cross braces in the middle of it. Looks pretty good! as for the screen not unrolling, i just stapled the top and had someone grab the other end and pull it very tight while i stapled all the way down the sides.

I know I'm making some cut at angle ones to put on the corners, but my saw sucks so it takes a half hour and a very sore arm per cut haha.

What type of saw are you using ? Whatever it is you should stop using it until you can get a new blade there is nothing more dangerous then a dull blade when building
