Noticed my cham has these bruise like spots near his claws. Does this happen from screen climbing?

hmmmmm little man is getting himself into trouble huh.. Its interesting... I have not seen that before. May just be the coloring of the scales there. Does the nail itself seem damaged or loose? It doesn't look like it from the picture.

I haven't seen any damage to the nails so far - these dark spots are on just about all of his toes on the same spot which is what made me think it was from climbing the screen

I wish i could work on his bigger enclosure more during the week so I could get him in it faster. Although, knowing him he'd probably still do it a bunch lol

Yeah my hands on experience with panthers is limited... I don't know if it is a bruise or just happens to have darker scales. I do know what bruises on a cham look like up close and personal but what I saw in my experience did not look like that.

I am sure you will get others that know more then I do.

As far as the screen climbing they are brats about it until they are too heavy to do it. Beman did it non stop until he was about 8 months old. He finally was too heavy for it. But he also broke two nails because of it. Nothing I did helped keep him off of it.
