Bruised ribs?

New owner! My veiled Franklin has 3 dark lines on his skin that line up with his ribs. Anyone know what it's all about? I tried to attach a picture but it won't let me through my phone and I don't have internet at my house.

I see what you're talking about, but not sure what they are. It may be possible that he his that side of himself against something and it bruised the skin over the ribs. Couldn't be sure though. They could also be scratches. Either way, it doesn't look like anything serious or alarming, they should go away in due time.

It looks like the start of a thermal burn to me. The ribs would be the higher point on the skin and the skin will be more stretched in that area, so perhaps a slight burn? Does he bask on his side?

Either that or is just scratches, but wierd how they run parallel to the ribs.

Why is that weird. Seems if it were thermal burn that would be the reasonable marking. (Or bruising for that matter)

Bescause 3 scratches that run exactly down the ribs is just a bit strange to me. I didnt say it was a thermal burn, I said it could be the start of one. Looking at the pic you can see the surrounding area is slightly darker, wether this is his markings or not I wouldnt know as its the first time ive seen him, but this does indicate the start of a burn.

I appreciate all of your responses. I looked at them again today and they seem to have faded a bit. I don't think it could be burns bc he doesn't spend a lot of time basking and ive never noticed him "gasping" while he does. I think he must've hit his side on something. I think he's fine though. Thank you all for your input
