I guess he is just clumsy... Everything checked out good on his last visit to the vet... I always hear him fall or i see him just catching himself by his tail... So I thought it couldve been a bruise...
I tried to fix up the cage better... But he climbs the screen.. And ends up upside-down at the top, only hanging on by his nails in the screen, I can't figure out how to make him stop.. I dust his crickets every other feeding, and give him different worms, and yes he has UVB lighting...
I cant see how this could be a burn considering his spines that run through don't look at all damaged. Looks like a bruise from the few pictures I can find on the internet.
Sorry for your Cham's having a bad burn. With the rather large size of the burn, you should sill get a vet asap. And if he is a notorious screen climber, you should raise your basking light higher above the cage. I don't know your cage setup, but I experienced Chams to be more likely to climb screens when either the cage is too small or there is too little foliage and climbing opportunities. Please post your setup for better evaluation.
I think I finally figured out why Loki climbs on the screen all the time even with all the braches and plants and it was because the branches that where "secured" with thumb tacks where actually twisting on him and making it hard to climb so I put a second tack on every branch to keep them from twisting....I hope it stops his climbing on the screen
