Brought Milly to the herp vet Thursday

I know its a little late for posting her vet visit, but I haven't had the time to post since we been working on upgrades for our reptile kids.

We called around Wednesday to find a reptile vet to get Milly a checkup. I finally found one that is 2 1/2 hrs away from us in New Orleans. They had set Milly's appointment for Thursday at 9 am. I worked on a small mesh enclosure with support branches and got her setup. Off we went to the vet. Milly did ok for the ride there. Poor thing was scared inside a cube white room waiting to see the doctor. They did a fecal, blood and a caskade to tail check over. No signs of mbd, well hydrated, fecal and blood passed. She is weighing in at 128 grams. Doctor said that is good for her age. I am not really sure what weight is average for a adult female. The doctor asked me if I had a laybin setup in her enclosure because she is receptive right now. I gladly said yes it is all setup. He told me not to worry if her eating slacks off now and then during her receptive/gravid phase.

Lastly he told me it would be great to get another check up on her when she if/does become gravid. As we was leaving the nurses and other people with their reptiles was awwwing at Milly and her colors. One little girl was so excited to see Milly's tail all tucked away. On the way back Milly was wanting out of her carry enclosure so I held her on the way home.We made it back a little after lunch.

I am glad that I am doing what is good for her. I am always worried about her, but more at ease knowing she is well and happy.

I'm glad to hear that Milly got a clean bill of health. My guys have always enjoyed the car ride and being at the vet.

It's great that Milly has passed her checkup with flying colors.
I've seen that you've been giving her a variety of feeders and if you continue to follow the care guidelines from this forum, she should have a long healthy life in your care.
The moderators very recently added some great caresheets, which are handy to save as a reference:

You might not need to travel so far to get good vet care for Milly.
There are 2 ARAV vets very close to you.
I would only use the vets named below if I made an appointment, since these are the vets with enough interest in reptiles to have joined ARAV:

Thank you very much. Yes plently of different feeders, We have crickets, dubia roaches(breeding), pheonix worms(breeding),hornworms, silkworms, waxworms, superworms, mealworms and frozen pinky mice for our corn snake.

The waxworms and mealworms or fed every now and then.

Thank you for the vets info. I have written them down in Milly's file. I don't mind the drives for our reptiles though. We love them and would do anything for them. :)

Besides Milly, we have our bearded dragon and his name is Cajun and our baby snow albino cornsnake that we have yet to name.
