hey, i was wondering, what panther has the brightest colours? i was thinking ambilobe are pretty bright but im not sure, any ideas??

Mate your quoting yourself now, its kind of annoying. I know your excited about owning a chameleon, and intrested and enthusiastic, but be a little patient ok, people will answer your posts. :)

P.S. Id say the panther with the brightest color will be the one you own! :)

what sub breed of panther?

A lot of it is subjective, and also dependent on mood - an Ankaramy or Tamatave may be brilliant fired up, and a not particularly brilliant (but still respectable) greenish when calm. Some have a color scheme in which a single color predominates (Ankaramy - pink; Nosy Be - turquoise to blue; Tamatave - red with white detailing; Nosy Mitsio - yellow to yellow green). Nosy Faly is quite handsome, with its white background, blue barring and red spots. Then if you want the full color spectrum, you've got the Ambanjas and Ambilobes. Can't go far wrong with a nice Ambilobe, with red-orange throat and belly, green flanks, blue or red barring, maybe some yellow here and there (not that I'm biased;))...

Just ignore the quoted part and read what they're typing.

As for panther chams. There's lots of variety, from pink to green to blue to orange to yellow to red to mixed colors.

Redtom123 posted pics of all the panther locales he found on his trip to Madagascar recently, this is the website, if you click on each locale it will lead you to more pics: http://translate.google.com/transla...ns/furcifer-pardalis-madagascar &sl=de&tl=en

I would check out what different breeders have available, there is a lot of variation even in one single locale. Not all Ambilobes look as brilliant as the ones you might want, and not all Nosy Be's are as blue as you might want.
