hi every time i put my female in my males cage he all ready but she flips out i tried it 4 times in 2 months is there any other way i can go about this to make it a successful breeding?? Thanks

good luck

try the reverse. put the male in her cage. she may feel more comfortable if she's at home. She may also be gravid already or have a batch of infertile eggs on the way already.

If you have a larger ficus tree you can place them both on with some distance between them....this may help them get a used to each other and eventually it will happen.

ok thanks ...... i will def try she aint showing and robin blue spots but i also heard not all of them do this am i correct?

First thing first, is she receptive? If yes then try placing the male in her setup instead. If no then wait till she is receptive to try again.

ya i have done my research she is 16 months old.....receptive it says she will be showing robin blue but not all show that? and she stays normal color when her and male are placed together thats why i let the male go. but when he tries to mounts she gaps so i take him out

I wouldn't leave her in there if she's gaping. Does she rock back and forth? Hiss?
Can you post a picture of her please?

Is he alot larger than her? I know he's bigger because he's male but is he an unusually large sized male? If so it may be because he's so much bigger than her and she's feeling threatened or intimidated by his size.

There is my male and female .....he is slightly bigger he looks alot bigger but as u can see i have a up close shot wit him and standing farther back with her cuz she looks a little unhappy to have the camera all up in her space lol

She is young and doesnt look receptive or gravid, I would say about 8-10 months old

when i bought her i was told she is 12-13 months.....but i don't know if that is the truth my other females are alot younger when it comes to sizing

try lowering the temp. i never had a female show the robin blue coloring, but turning the AC on while the veileds wander around sometimes works wonders.
