Hey Guys,

My female veild just laid 64 (unfertilized...ugg!) eggs for the first time the other week. I know that typically most people reintroduce males back to the female at this point. Im just wondering that since he was not introduced originally in time before she produced her first eggs...How long should i wait and let her recoupe before i give him the go ahead to try and actually knock her up for real this time?

60eggs=600cricks a day at .08$ crick thats 50.00$ a day 1500. a month you should keep em for at least three months to feed plus your time. make sure you can breed crickets lol.
As for when to introduce basicly when she is receptive and willing.

How long before she laid eggs did you mate her?
If you don't want her to lay such a large clutch then you need to control her food...feed her well for a couple of days after she lays and then cut her back for a while until she is working on the next batch of eggs.
