Breeding studs?

Is it possible to stud out your chameleon? I would like to breed my boys but I want to see it they will sire before I invest in females.

Actually I know a few people who prefer to keep either males or females. I only keep my female and have a person bring his male over. So the thing is the person with a female has to have the healthy female and the knowledge to raise the babies. Trust me it isn't easy. they incubate for 6-8 months, eat a hole in your pocket book, and are a 24-7 job once they are hatched to get them to selling age. Plus there is always the chance you can lose your female to egg binding.

Yes, people do stud out chameleons. It's a lot easier if you do this with a friend or someone from the forum in your area at first, since you can meet them, their animals, and get to know their standard of care. If both parties agree to the match then you have to settle on the terms of the agreement, which can be some monetary compensation for using your male or the promise of some eggs/hatchlings.

Female chameleons are awesome though, you wouldn't regret buying a female if you did. You realize that they are so much prettier than what they seem like in photos and that they vary their colors and patterns a lot more than males with their moods.

Yeah.

I would like to stud my boys out. I don't have room to raise a female just yet. I just think my boys are to perfect not to spread their seed.
