Breeding question!?

I breed my female 6/22/18, she has shown gravid colors however she keeps going into the laying bin digs very little then comes out , then sometimes goes in and then does nothing then comes back out? Is that normal? I have blocked off her enclosure completely

Its normal for females to dig test holes before they lay. As long as you did a test hole and you can dig a hole without it collapsing she should lay. Make sure she has complete privacy.

I figured that’s what she was as doing it’s been going on for about 3 days now, she has never layed eggs before she’s about 2 years old , and yea she has full privacy

The dirt does not look high enough at all, how high is that dirt? I see you used a tall bucket, however they say to do that to give high dirt. 10inch bucket with 3 inches of dirt isn't enough.

It’s almost have way from that bucket it’s about 2 inchs from half way

Okay didn't see it was a 5gal bucket, looked like a pot on the phone. Still a 5gal bucket is like 14-15 inches, half of that is like 7, 2 inches less is 5. You need like 9-10 inches of soil for her to dig in minimum, she needs to be able to disappear in the soil. That is still not enough imo.

That bucket should be pretty much full. 5 inches of soil is not enough.
