Any breeders of quads out there? I used to breed them in large numbers but got out of the hobby for about 15 years. Looking to pick up a few but having trouble finding some. Would post in the wanted section, but I'm a new member here. Would love to interface with anyone still working with this fascinating species.

Thanks!

I never had any trouble with them, they were by far the easiest species I have ever worked with, but I'm in Oregon. I kept the eggs on perlite in sterilite shoebox containers, the ones with loose fitting lids. No air holes in lids. In the summer I kept the egg boxes on the basement floor and in the winter I kept them on top of my incubators. Because I kept the eggs so cool they usually took about six months to hatch. If you are in a warmer climate you might have trouble keeping the eggs cool enough without resorting to an incubator that can cool instead of heat. Mine were usually kept in the low to mid 60's F with a night drop about 5 degrees cooler than the day.

You can do it a bit warmer than that for faster hatching but they should have a night drop at the very least so that they can rest.
