Breeding Colors of Female Quad

One of my female quad quads has been very restless for a couple of days. I was planning to breed her to a male I have loaned to another breeder, but decided that she couldn't wait.

These are the vibrant colors she turned when I put her in the cage with my young male, Faisal.

She even nodded to him!

Hold your female near a male or put them in the cage together, you will know very soon if she is receptive. If she turns black or starts hissing, get her away from the male. GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks Laurie. Those pictures were taken when I put her in with the male. She even nodded to him. I got a breeding pretty quickly. She went black as soon as the breeding was finished.

This was one from the February shipment. She was 12g when I bought her. She laid one infertile clutch of 20 eggs a couple of months ago. She was bred to a male that was also about 14g when I bought him in February.
