Breeding age-not your usual ?

Hi all. I have two little girls currently and am getting a few males this week. My girls are app 6&8 months old. One of the males I'm getting is just over 18months. I know the girls won't be ready for another 6 months or more(older one is smaller than younger). My question is

At what point is a panther chameleon retired from breeding? Female age or clutch number? Does male age matter?

Welcome to the forums. I would never breed a female that's even getting close to three years old. Keepers that truly care about their chameleons normally retire the males around three also but if they are in good health going a little past three would probably be ok for some of the males.

Awesome. Thank you so much. I was hoping the older guy could breed for me at least once. I'll get some pics up ASAP.

Veil females I retire after three clutches. Panther females I retire after 3-4 clutches, depending on size and if had infertile clutches. You never know when an unwanted infertile clutch will pop up after retirement. Males can pretty much go until no longer interested.
