I dont beleive it. Whatif the male jumps on her and she cant fight back then what happens?
I'm just going out on a limb here, but going from what I know from dogs and cats, these can't get pregnant when not in heat. So I imagine it may be a similar case for female chameleons, even if he were to mount her, I don't think she would be capable of fertilizing eggs? Perhaps someone with more knowledge on the subject can correct me if I'm wrong, but it's just a thought.
It won't happen. He isn't goin to just jump on her and do the deed. She has to let him, and as Jannb said, it could result in death in not just one of the lizards, but possibly both.
I dont agree with you with this. I have seen a male veiled run straight to the female when she was unreceptive, he head but her, got on her and they mated and the female did nothing once the male was on her. A fertile clutch was produced.
