Welcome to being a Cham owner :) Just a few friendly tips, not sure what your setup is like, Make sure you have an all screen enclosure with either a puppy training pad or paper towels or nothing on the bottom at all. Live plants are great for humidity make sure you get then safe for Chams. You will need a Basking light, plus UVB lights, Calcium without D3 daily for the gutloaded insects and Calcium with D3 twice a month and also a Multivitamin twice a month. Mealworms, waxworm, superworms are all fattening to a cham and should only be fed as a treat. If there is something I missed someone here will let you know. Again welcome to a wonderful Cham world :)

Hey! And welcome to the world of Chameleons, they are truly great and unique! By far my favorite animal! Just to correct Ladybones, you don't necessarily need an all screen enclosure, but if you do shy away from them make sure you have a proper glass enclosure such as an exo terra to allow good air movement. Second if you do have the screen enclosure, what I did and simply adding on to Lady Bones well said post, I would get a stand with no middle, just enough to put the edges of the screen enclosure on and put a drainage bin. What I personally did was drill holes in the bottom of the white part they give you for a base and the water drips through steadily and you only have to change your bin about once every 2 or three days, it won't fill up all the way but just to prevent bacteria from growing. Also with the gut loading, adding on to Bones again, I used fresh oranges, mangos, potatoes, and other fresh fruit to gutload with and it works brilliantly. Gives proper vitamins and such for you to give all the nutrients you need for your happy and healthy chameleon :). As far as supplements go, she hit it right on the head, but Jacksons do not need a lot of supplementation as say a Veiled or Panther so cutting down a little bit to maybe 2-3 times a week for your jacksons as far as calcium goes would be good. Correct me if i am wrong other members please :). As far as feedings, I disagree slightly, Mealworms should only be avoided to maybe once or twice a week as the chitlin in there shell can cause a blockage in there intestines and that prevents them from passing there waste causing them to die. Waxworms are fatty though for sure, those should only be used as a treat or to get weight up but still don't push it. Superworms are great and you can feed often but not to much, maybe 3 times a week. I would also if you husband allows it or even if you do, start a colony of Dubian roaches, they are among the best feeders available, they hold gutload for 2-3 days and they are a lot more cost affective once your colony gets growing. 1 Dubian roach is equal to about 5-7 crickets of the same age I believe. I will post a couple of links for you to look upon to improve your enclosure and get an idea of what you are doing to help you out :) Hope all goes well :)
