Thought I would share a couple pictues of my new baby kitten. He is almost 3 weeks old now. I am a volunteer with our local animal shelter and often get calls from people wanting to place animals, but April 11th I got a call from a woman that said her dog had come home with a baby kitten in it's mouth and it still had the umbilical cord attached to it!!! Well, as you can imagine, I thought there was very little hope for a kitten so small. By the time she got him to me, his temperature had dropped, and he was ice cold. Fortunetely I had everything that I needed to take care of a baby kitten - heat pad, kitten milk replacer, bottle, emergency vitamins and carrier. When he made it through the first night, I was ecstatic!!! and now, almost 3 weeks later, he is a total pig - he eats an entire bottle in one sitting!! Right now his belly is full and he is starring at me with his big eyes. He has really big feet - so I think he is going to be a whopper. Still working on a name for him. My niece wants to name him Steve! He doesn't look much like a Steve to me!
