Bonding with a cham?

Same thing with my cham, he just doesn't like me. From the moment I let him climb out of the bag he has been aggressive towards me so w.e guess ill have to get another! :D, No but your guy will just have to get used to you, mines made progress

u guys better be jelly my Cham has never bit me even when i tried provoking him he also eats right out of my hand.. he also eats like a beast... He hates lettuce (he puffs up in fight mode when i put a peice of lettuce ended up in his cage) ive had him for 2 months now

All panthers are different as well though; my first two were horrible, while one would eat out of my hand that was the extent of our interactions, and the other will neither eat not bother with you at all. They have both landed everyone nice bites. Then I got another one that was sweet as could be, super friendly and super docile. He won't even gape at the vet's when he's getting examined or given a shot of something. And then the one after that was shy but tolerated handling. And my new panther female is a doll, she eats from my hand and seem pretty docile (I haven't held her yet because she's still settling in).

So panthers come in an array of personalities as well. My veiled female was awesome, super sweet and outgoing. Then she had surgery that required a lot of oral meds and now she doesn't like me as much, but that wasn't her fault, it would take a lot to handle months of oral meds and force feeding and still be as friendly to human contact.

I didn't post in this thread more than a day or two, and with some daily work my guys eaten 3 superworms out of my hand and 2 that were on the desk while he was on my hand, who knows if that is as far as we will get but keep working with him

I bond with all my pets. I interact with my chameleons daily. Each is very sweet and friendly. Each have their own personality and each have their own free range tree. I have found that treating them with allot of love and respect can go a long way. Here's just a couple of the videos that Olimpia had mentioned above.

jann, the babies vid is my absolute favorite the "minions" :D

for people that say they dont bond with people i have to say i dont agree as my cham remember certain friends and will only climb onto people they like/trust...my male actually doesent like certain people he gets all puffed and stiff and wont move..

You know, the more I read threads like this the more I realise just how lucky I am. My Nosy Faly Panther female comes to me every time she sees me. She will climb down from her basking spot or from wherever she is just to get to me so that I will hold her. She makes me feel really guilty sometimes though as I can't take her out all of the time.. She is absolutely adorable. :)

yes

is bodhi named after a point blank character? lol

Yes he is. the reason he is named that is cause he would sky dive from the top of the cage into his tree ( i think he liked to see me jump when he did it) So i wanted to name him after a sky diver.

Ok now I really feel crappy cuz everyone has amazing chams that play with them :(

Somewhat good news, set up a free range and he is no longer avoiding me when I take him n or out of his cage, he hop up on my finger, still no hand feeding but he doesn't have much of an appetite

Nah don't feel bad. My cham isn't the friendliest either. He runs away when I try to take him out of his cage.

what kinda cham do you have?? my veiled was really angry, Bodhi (my panther) so far is nice but I have been spoiling him and I'm sure mama does too when I'm not home.

just keep at it little by little he will come around the hand feeding trick is find something he has not had silk worm, horn worm, wax worm or a butter worm a new food will be interesting and he will take it out of your hand. try offering it to him open handed on your palm that might work out better.
