Blue Bottle Flies Hatch Early??

I have bought two batches of Blue Bottle Fly pupae over the past 5 months both 100 count. Kept them both in an extra refrigerator (ok, garage beer fridge) at about 45 degrees. Nearly all of them in this second batch hatched while in the fridge. Anyone know why this would happen? I usually take out 15-20 and it takes 3 days or so to hatch at room temp. Not this time.

Thanks.

I would store them toward the back of the frig. The opening of the frig can warm the air and if they don't stay cold enough they will hatch. I have had them hatch in the frig when it is opened frequently.

Makes sense. I keep them in the door now. Next batch, to the back.
Thank you.
