Blood in poop

So I had noticed there was blood in my chameleons poop, and few spots in the cage where blood also appeared near sperm plugs. Usually he doesn't leave many sperm plugs but lately a ton of sperm plugs have been appearing around one spot on the cage where the blood is. I have investigated his body and found no cuts on it anywhere to be seen. This leads me to believe he may of scratched/internally ruptured a hemipenis.

So I have a few questions. Is this normal on occasion? Will it heal? Do I need to take him to the vet? All help is appreciated.

I wish I could help you...But it sounds like injury....Vet is a good choice but hopefully somebody will help you here too! I hope your guy is ok!

I agree to see a vet but it seems like what you said he might have scratched internals , what do you feed him

Crickets and super worms mainly and wax worms on very rare occasions.

Blood in poop = vet visit.....asap

Definitely vet visit. This is still a topic of debate, and many here say superworms don't bite, but I also belong to a gecko forum and there's a member whose gecko was bitten by a superworm after ingestion and ended with internal injuries and bloody feces.

It could also be something like a parasite.
