Black spots/patches on head

I'm wondering what the black spots/patches on my veiled means. He's had them for a good while and seem to darken.

That looks like he is maturing and developing some adult colors. They will be more pronounced at times and you will likely see some patterns on the eye turrets. Some get quite a bit of dark markings and others will not.
